Successful test of the AQUA RECI™ process finalized.

On commission from Stockholm Vatten (SV) and their partners in the Greater Stockholm area, Käppala- förbundet and SYVAB, Chematur Engineering has, in cooperation with Feralco AB, performed a very successful 100 h trial for destruction of digested sludge. The trial has demonstrated the high reliability of the Aqua Critox® process and given opportunities to verify pre-treatment and operating procedures. During the trial a very comprehensive sampling programme has been performed, both on liquid and gaseous effluent. The solid phase from the Aqua Critox process has been separated and further treated to selectively recover phosphorous and coagulant (the Aqua Reci process). First results are very promising and the trials are continuing. The whole project will be finalized by end of January 2003.
